Your due date will be on our calendar. Once you have the baby, please message to set up the appointment (within 14 days of birth, but the sooner the better). Sessions typically will run 2.5 hours if baby is under a week old.

You will receive the address when you contact to schedule once baby is born. You'll be looking for a white farmhouse. You'll enter through the ***FRONT DOOR of the house, where I'll be watching for you. You'll remove shoes, and I'll take you through to a room in the back that we use as our studio.

Newborn sessions produce around 25 final images. You'll receive an online gallery to your email address in around 2 weeks. You'll need to download images from this gallery within 14 days- before the gallery automatically expires. $25 fee to Re-publish the images to an online gallery.

If in the event that retouching is needed on the baby's skin, this is limited to 25 images which you will select in the gallery.

Newborn sessions for 2025 are $350, due the day of the newborn session, or may be paid ahead of time. Sometimes this is helpful to get out of the way. As for payment type, check is our preference, but cash if fine too. We no longer take card / electronic payments. Prepayments may be mailed to us. Contact for the address.

*Elicia's color recommendation based on the style of the studio space is cream, white, or any soft tones are great. Images will typically be backlit with white. We love long and full flowy dresses. There are some great options out there that still allow for nursing and comfort. Feel free to bring a change of clothes.

We don't recommend shorts or short skirts. Shoes are not necessary for the session, as we don't wear shoes in our home in order to keep things clean.

The recommendation for the newborn is a coordinating wrap - as it's best for posing.

(Please note if you've answer yes then you understand that any and all siblings will need to leave *DIRECTLY* after having their photos taken. It's helpful to have dad drive separate, or have another family member pick that child up.) Elicia keeps the temperature very warm, and environment very quiet in order to keep baby sleepy.

Do you plan on bringing any clothes/props for the baby? (Typically Elicia selects and uses from her own collection based on your color choices, so that she can create matching sets ahead of time). Please be aware of sizing, many times 0-3, and even newborn clothing labels end up being oversized, and a snug fit would be the preference to be sure to see hands and feet. You may want to consider premie sizing.

TERMS::  An online proof gallery will be ready within 2 weeks from the session date and will be available for only 14 days. If you need to extend past 14 days, there will be a fee of $25 to repost the gallery. If in the event there is a need to reschedule this session, there may be a travel fee added to the session fee. No part of any order will be delivered until the balance is paid in full. The content created from the session are the exclusive property of Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. By signing this contract you are giving permission to Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. to use images, and or video of yourself and any minors/dependents included in your session. Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. reserves the right to use the images, and or video for display, publication or other purposes. Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. reserves the right to the exclusive use of the content created and reproduction thereafter.  All rights are reserved by Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. whether for display, publication, or otherwise. No concessions will be made for this. All photographs and video are copyright protected and may not be copied, reproduced, or files altered or edited in any form without written permission of Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. While Mirth and Whimsy, LLC.  takes the utmost care with respect to the exposure, development, and delivery of photographs, in the event she fails to comply with the terms of this contract, liability is limited to a refund of 50% of what was paid. No concessions will be given for missed images. Mirth and Whimsy, LLC. cannot guarantee that every moment is photographed. This will depend on the time, lighting conditions, availability of people, cooperation given, or any other reason deemed out of Mirth and Whimsy, LLC.'s control. In the event of emergency, injury, acts of God, or death, Elicia Cook Lunsford, Mirth and Whimsy, LLC., any assistants, or property owner of session location, are not held liable in any way. Parents or guardians are responsible for themselves and children. Refunds or concessions if granted can only amount to the session fee. This information is understood and accepted upon signing of the contract. You are agreeing and accepting when you click submit on your questionnaire form.
